The firm has partnered with Nvidia Corp. to establish AI data centers in Vietnam and Japan, while expanding into semiconductor chip design—a significant leap for a nation traditionally known for hardware manufacturing.
With a market capitalization of $6.8 billion and operations across 30 countries, FPT serves 130 Fortune Global 500 clients including Airbus SE and Ford Motor Co. This transition from contract manufacturing to advanced technology development mirrors Vietnam’s broader economic transformation under pioneers like Truong Gia Binh, who founded FPT four decades ago with a single borrowed computer.
